While our apartment in Paris was in the 18th Arrondissement, we were quite close to Gare du Nord in the 10th Arrondissement. We accordingly did lots of transfers from Gare du Nord and discovered the Church of Saint Vincent de Paul was nearby.
We also learned that Le Petit Bombay was in the 10th Arrondissement. We, of course, took it upon ourselves to sample some food in the area. First, we went to Muniyandi Vilas, which was primarily a Sri Lankan restaurant. I had never had Sri Lankan food before, so I’m not sure what we ordered but it was all quite tasty. We had samosas, an eggy dish, something with chicken, and a goat curry.
Next, we went to Saravanaa Bhavan, which was a vegetarian Indian restaurant. We asked for “hot” and boy, did they deliver! The curry was divine and hot. It was still palatable though, and I got a masala chai to calm my taste buds at the end of the meal.
